Long post….do bear with me…J
What is the use of that extra bonus, if you don’t have time to talk to your mom…????
What is the use of that promotion, which will never give you one hour to take your kid to the park..???
What is the use of a big bungalow, when you spend your maximum time in your office cubicle…???
What is the use of a luxurious car…which is mostly used for business trips and seldom for family outings…???
What is the use of all the success…and all the money….if you have no one to share it….???
These were the instant thoughts that came to my mind after watching “The Dirty Picture” (IMDb). I had heard a lot about this movie, so many reviews, some good and some bad. I liked this movie (though hubby dear didn’t). I am still to recover from the shock….this movie is made by the Soap Queen “Ekta Kapoor”…I mean the one who never thought beyond “Saas-Bahu” fights, has come up with such a nice storyline. Fabulous performance by Vidy a Balan (I wonder if any other heroine could have carried it so well), amazing dialogues (I agree they were adult, but the script demanded it).
Here are some of those which I loved…
“Zindagi EK hai toh, DO bhar kya sochna”
“Picture sirf teen cheezo se chalti hai…”ENTERTAINMENT…ENTERTAINMENT…ENTERTAINMENT…aur main ENTERTAINMENT hoon…
The award ceremony speech…and the note which Silk leaves behind at the end…they make you think.
We all crave for success, position, power, money….we keep running behind this….but after a point of time when we are tired…we need someone to comfort us…we need someone to be by our side…we need a shoulder to rest…don’t you all think so???
Money is important, I agree, we can buy all the necessities and luxuries to enjoy life….but too much of anything is dangerous, isn’t it???
FB, mails, chats, SMS…thanks to all this…we are surrounded by so many people….
But what if nobody likes our photos…???
Nobody bothers to comment on our status….??
We wait for our phone to ring….but no one calls us, or messages us????
We will be shattered….we are so used to this outside noise…that silence will kill us…and that’s what happens to Silk at the end.
The movie is beyond “Ulala, Ulala” and the adult content… Wish everyone could see beyond that….
I don’t know if this post made any sense….thank you for reading it guys…I just wanted to vent out my thoughts….and my blog is the best way to do that…J
Have a nice week ahead…and I am waiting for your inputs…!!!!
