Instagram Live Sessions – Q&A- Part 1

Hello all,

How are you all doing today? Thank you so much for your comments on my previous post. I’ll do a narration of the story soon and you could enjoy watching it with your family.

In the past few weeks, I’ve been a guest on many Instagram live sessions where I spoke about Mental & Emotional Health, Parenting and Decoding our Thought Processes. I did a live session with actress Shruti Hassan and I’ve already shared the insights of that session in this post.

In today’s post I’ll be sharing few questions that I received from UncoverMic and my perspectives on that.

A lot of negative news is getting circulated around. How do we not get anxious with all this negativity?

Reduce the consumption of Information. Subscribe to fewer channels and set a time limit to watch the news. Do research and gather information before forwarding any article or news.

Become mindful of the content that you watch. Ask yourself, ‘Is this content useful?’ ‘Is this adding any Value to me?’

A lot of people are spending their time on Social Media and comparing them with others by stalking and feeling, ‘not good enough’. What to do about that?

When the thought ‘I am not good enough’ arises, ask, ‘not good enough compared to whom?’. Maybe you are comparing yourself with someone else. Who is that person, what is it that you are comparing specifically?

I feel that people are watching others do workout or post recipes or write and maybe a thought arises ‘I should also do something.’

At that point ask-

What is it that I value the most?

What is important to me right now?

And then start investing your time in learning, exploring and polishing that skill. You could start doing that activity that’s important to you and that you value the most.

Also become mindful of the people you follow on social media. Instead of scrolling through Social Media, what if you could use it to create an impact, to share stories of hope and solutions.

How can one stop feeling guilty when we are sitting comfortably at home while there are so many people out there who don’t have home, food, means to reach their homes. And there’s very little we could do to help.

There’s very little that you could do- then go ahead and do that. I read this article and I think we could learn something from this man.

Do whatever you can. Each time you show up for the community you are making a difference.

I thank UncoverMic for inviting me on their Instagram Live Session. You could follow them on Instagram where they are conducting some insightful sessions in the coming week.

What are your thoughts on these questions? What would you like to add?

I’d love to hear your perspectives.

Take care.

Love & Light,

Gayu
